Police Probe New Lead In Madelaine McCann's Case

Detectives working the Madeleine McCann's case say one of the major leads in their investigationis a sighting by an Irish family of a man carrying a child in a blanket on the night she disappeared. Last night in a renewed television appeal on BBC's crimewatch police say this new suspect is being sought. They have issued an e-fit image of the man they want to question. The man featured - who is described as white, clean shaven with brown hair - was seen carrying a blonde child towards the beach. Madeleine's parents Gerry and Kate McCann have urged the public to come forward with any information they may have.
