Posh And Becks 'Getting Posher' Study Finds
Academics at the University of Manchester have concluded that David and Victoria Beckham are 'getting posher' The study contrasted the way the Beckhams spoke before and after their move to Los Angeles in 2007. It found that David Beckham has changed his speech to "sound less working class", by dropped his H sounds at the start of words far less often than before the move. A video study of wife Victoria found that the ex-Spice girl was 'definitely getting posher'. The 39-year-old who celebrates her birthday today, was found to be correctly pronouncing Ls in words such as 'all' 25% of the time in 1997, with the figure rising to 46% in 2012.
