The body of a 36 year old woman who was fatally injured in an assault in Mitchelstown will be removed to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem will be conducted this afternoon.
The victim, who is from Mitchelstown, was fatally injured when a row broke out with another man in Willie Andies pub on New Market Square around 10.30pm
The State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy will carry out a preliminary examination of the scene before conducting a post mortem examination at CUH..
Detectives in Fermoy are currently questioning a 27 year old man who was arrested at the scene last night in relation to the assault
