Post-mortem due after a 35 year old man died in a workplace accident in Little Island

Two separate investigations have been launched into the fatal accident
A post mortem examination is due to be carried out on the body of a man who was killed in a workplace accident in a factory in Little Island overnight
The 35 year old man, who is from Bandon was fatally injured when he was caught in a machine at Architectural and Metal Systems at Wallingstown in Little Island
He was discovered by a colleague who raised the alarm and first aid was administered before he was pronounced dead by a doctor
His body has been taken to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem will be conducted
In a statement the company says their thoughts and prayers are with the dead man's family following this tragic accident
