A post mortem conducted on the body of a man who died in a pub in Mitchelstown on Friday night reveals that his death was as a result of an assault that lasted several minutues...
36 year-old Paddy O'Donnell from Stag Park, Mitchelstown, was assaulted when a row broke out in Willie Andies pub in the town at around 11pm. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 27 year old man was arrested at the scene and is still being questioned this morning.
Speaking to RedFM News Local Councillor June Murphy who knew the victim, says the town has been left in shock, and his death will be very difficult for the family to bear
