President Congratulates Katie Taylor On Another World Boxing Title
Taylor was fighting at Madison Square Garden in New York overnight
The President has congratulated Katie Taylor on winning another world boxing title.
The Dubliner made history by unifying all four world lightweight titles with a narrow victory over Delfine Persoon in New York.
It secured her Persoon's WBC title, and she had previously won IBF, WBA and WBO prizes.
Michael D Higgins tweeted his congratulations to Taylor, saying she has now reached the pinnacle of her sport.
