Pressure Mounting On Government To Tackle Homelessness Crisis

Pressure is mounting on the Government to tackle the increasing number of homeless people on our streets.
The Society of St Vincent de Paul says figures released by the CSO yesterday - which highlight the scale of the problem - are of grave concern.
The atest figures on homelessness in the Cork and Kerry region, show a 37% jump in the number of women in emergency accommodation, compared to the same time last year.
127 women are currently living in emergency accommodation and 61 families are now homeless in the Cork and Kerry Region.
St Vincent de Paul's Jennifer Thompson says the lack of affordable housing is pushing people into homelessness :
