Pressure mounting on HSE to implement emergency measures to tackle trolley crisis

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation it's the worst April they have seen since records began.
Over 1,700 patients were waiting for a bed in the first three days of this week with Cork University Hospital being the most over crowded over this period with 159 people waiting on trolleys.
The INMO issued a stark warning to the HSE in the wake of Storm Ophelia stating that if nothing was done, then the overcrowding would continue and hospitals will be non functioning in terms of patient flow.
Speaking to RedFM News, General Secretarty of the INMO, Phil Ni Sheaghda says hospitals are unable to provide the necessary capacity in terms of bed or staff.
