Principal of a Northside school backing calls for a former boxing club premises to be redeveloped
Carl O'Brien from the North Mon Primary School is one of a number of people calling for the proposed demolition of the former Sunnyside Boxing Club in Blackpool to be called off.
The community facility, which is not owned by the club, has been closed for a number of years and and is due to be knocked to make way for several houses.
The centre was put on the derelict sites register after it became unsuitable for training and needs to be fully refurbished before it could be used as a community centre or training venue again.
Speaking to RedFM News, Carl O'Brien says the redevelopment of the club could have a great impact on the area:
