Probe Into Phone Scam

ComReg says it's hopeful that customers who got caught by a phone scam over the weekend won't be left to foot the bill. People have been receiving missed calls from what looks like an Irish mobile phone but the prefix is actually +386, which is the country code for Slovenia. Unsuspecting phone users can end up with high bills if they call the number back. ComReg say they received over 100 complaints about the scam and have now confirmed that the number is blocked and an investigation launched.
