Progress in dispute over new psychiatric unit at CUH

It follows the voting of one union involved, in favour of new proposals.

A new unit for psychiatric patients at Cork University Hospital is a step closer to opening, after one of the unions involved voted in favour of new proposals.

The 50 bed facility - which has been ready for use for months - has remained closed in a row over staffing levels.
