Proposed Cork City Flood Relief Plan Scheme Presented To Oireachtas

A special presentation of Cork City's proposed Flood Relief Scheme was made to Oireachtas members from the City and County areas of Cork last night
The presentation was made by the OPW and its Design Team which set out the background to the development of the €140 million scheme along with detailed information on the proposed measures..
The team also dealt with the issues which have been raised so far by the public as part of the current Public Exhibition process.
The deadline for submissions for the project, has been extended to the 16th of March, with work due to commence before the end of the year.
Minister of State with responsibility for the OPW Seán Canney, has been responding to recent criticism about potential changes to the city's historic quay walls
