Protest against proposed cuts to Bus Eireann underway Leeside

A demonstration has been mounted in the city this lunch time over proposed cuts to Bus Éireann services.
The protest is taking place at the Cork University Hospital and Wilton Shopping centre crossing.
It comes after the Transport Minister was accused of "shirking" his responsibility towards Bus Eireann staff.
Protesters say they are standing in solidarity with drivers across the county, who have been told that wages will have to be cut or all 2,600 jobs will be lost.
Unions called off strike action planned for Monday, but Minister Shane Ross is under fire for not actively engaging in talks to resolve the situation.
