Protest in the City Centre at Lord mayor's salary

Up to 100 campaigners are protesting outside City Hall against the level of the Lord Mayor's salary at a time when the public are forced to pay a raft of taxes and charges. Labour's Catherine Clancy will be elected to the Council's AGM this evening and she'll receive a salary of 83,000 euro - but her income will amount to around 200,000 when expenses are included. The Campaign Against Household and Water Charges are staging a protest outside the meeting.
