Protest over planned Bus Eireann changes

Cork protesters will take to the streets tomorrow to stand in solidarity with Bus Drivers.

It comes as fears have been expressed that several bus routes around the county will be discontinued by Bus Eireann in an effort to cut costs.

The company has said it has to implement massive cost savings, including payroll, if it is to remain in business.

Sinn Fein say they have organised the rally to stand up for the livelihoods of bus drivers, and for the rights of people across Cork county who depend on these services to get to school, college or work.

The protest will take place at the Cork University Hospital and Wilton Shopping Centre crossing at lunchtime tomorrow.
