Protest to be held over closure of post offices

A protest is being held in Cork City later over the closure of post offices.
Montenotte post office closes this week and is the third post office to close on the north side of the since 2019.
The demostration will be held this afternoon at the GPO and is organised by Sinn Fein who are calling on the Government to prevent closures.
Sinn Fein TD Thomas Gould told RedFM news action needs to be taken.
"The Montenotte post office will close this week, and it's the third post office to close on the Northside in two and a half years.
"We're calling on the government to step in and prevent post offices from closing."
