Protest underway outside City Hall to highlight scale of homeless crisis

A protest, organised by Solidarity, is underway outside City Hall this evening in a bid to highlight the scale of the homeless crisis Leeside.
The Solidarity party are holding the protest in response to what they say is the City Council's failure to build any new local authority homes in the first half of the year.
The Rebuilding Ireland Social Housing Construction Project Status Report for Quarter 2 2018, says that City Council is one of 12 local authorities which failed to build a single local authority home in the first 6 months of the year.
The demonstration comes as the City Council prepares to meet tonight to vote on a budget for next year.
Speaking to RedFM News Cllr Fiona Ryan says the budget that has been prepared just isn't good enough:
