Protesters Gather In The City Calling For The Reversal Of The Increase In The Pension Age

They are calling on the incoming Government to prioritise the most vulnerable

 

Dozens gathered on North Gate Bridge this lunchtime calling on the incoming Government to prioritise the most vulnerable and not penalise workers who have made contributions for decades.

Concerns were expressed by those reaching pension age who were out in force today that they would be forced to apply for Jobseekers benefit while waiting to reach the new pension age of 67.

Speaking to RedFM News these protesters say it's unfair on those who have been working all their lives:
