Protesting Farmers Are Being Encouraged To End Their Pickets

Protesting farmers are being encouraged to end their pickets and "put the ball back in the factories court".

Yesterday saw the first blockade in the beef price row removed from a Dawn Meats facility in Slane Co. Meath.

Other blockades are expected to end at meat plants, with protesters at ABP Bandon, Cahir and Clones said to be contemplating stepping away, according to The Irish Farmers Journal.

President of the Irish Farmers Association, Joe Healy, says following on from last weekend's agreement, it's now important farmers who have cattle to sell can do so:
