Public forum to be held on flood relief scheme

A public forum is to be held to discuss the €140 million flood relief scheme proposed for Cork city.

The ESB, the Office of Public Works and the architects behind the project wil be asked by City Hall officials to attend the forum.
Members of the Save Cork City action group are also expected to attend the forum which will be open to the public..

City Councillors are concerned about the public reaction to what they've described as the "mis-information" and "lack of clarity" on the plans

No date has yet been set for the public forum but it's expected to take place ahead of the closing date for submissions on the project which is March 16th

Minister with Responsibility for the OPW Sean Canney told RedFM News that he believes the current plan is the best option for Cork
