Public Hearings Focused On Addressing And Finding Solutions For The Crisis Hit Irish Aviation Sector

The decision by Ryanair to close its Cork and Shannon bases was raised in the Dáil last evening with the Minister for Transport.
The Committee held an emergency meeting yesterday following Ryanair’s announcement that it would close its Cork and Shannon Airports bases for the winter period.
The committee has called on the Minister for Transport and the Government to adopt the European Commission’s traffic light system and to explore proposals to implement testing at Irish airports.
