Five headstones were knocked over and items on 14 other plots were damaged over a week ago
A memo released to councillors yesterday estimates the cost of damages at €16,000 however the council has said it cannot accept responsibility for damage to private property.
Speaking to RedFM news Sinn Fein Councillor Kenneth Collins whose mother is buried at the cemetery but whose grave was not damaged said locals will be looking for clarity at the meeting today;
