Public Representatives Want To Meet With Port Of Cork Officials To Discuss Future Plans

It follows the closure of the dockyard in Passage West

Doyle Shipping took the 8 acre dockyard off the market following uncertainty about how Brexit will affect shipping in Ireland.

The move, which has been described as a huge blow to the town has put plans to develop the site into residential and commercial units on hold.

Councillor Seamus McGrath says he's keen to speak to Port of Cork bosses to discuss plans for the former IFI plant at Marino Point.

He told RedFM News that the plans may benefit Passage West.
