Questions raised over security at Cork Concerts following Manchester attack

Questions have been raised about security at Cork concerts in the wake of the Manchester attack.

Two gigs are in the pipeline for the new Páirc Uí Chaoimh stadium next year, the planned Events Centre is also expected to host a number of events while several Live At The Marquee gigs take place throughout the summer. 

The issues has also reportedly been discussed at cabinet level, where
Tanaiste and Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald was asked for assurances on the country's readiness for something on that scale happening here.

Speaking to RedFM News Lord Mayor Cllr Des Cahill says while gardaí in Cork are monitoring individuals and have a special unit in place to monitor terrorist activity the events in Manchester are a cause for concern:
