Rachel Allen Issues Statement To Cork's RedFM Following Arrest Of Son

The chef released a statement in the wake of her son, Joshua's arrest
Rachel Allen has issued a statement to Cork's RedFM in the wake of the arrest of her son Joshua.
The celebrity chef confirmed that her 18-year-old son was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs, namely marijuana, with intent to supply them to others.
In a statement she says Joshua admitted his guilt immediately and has co-operated fully with the Gardaí.
A file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions and she says when formally charged Joshua will be pleading guilty at the first opportunity.
The statement outlines her devastation and in it she says that her son has never been in trouble with the Gardaí, and has made a huge mistake, which will have profound consequences for him.
The chef concludes her statement by asking that the legal process would be allowed to proceed to deal with this matter, without interference, and that they would be allowed to deal with this, like any other parents, in a similar position.
