Rail strike looms

Rail passengers are being assured by the Transport Minister that an agreement will be reached to avoid a strike at Irish Rail It's after the Irish Independent quoted him as saying he felt strikes at the company are "inevitable". The dispute is over a 4-point-7 million euro pay-cuts plan at the company. Any action would cause massive disruption for over 100-thousand commuters.
