Re-think on the location of proposed Cork step-down facility
Residents on Patrick's Hill had strongly objected to plans for the facility for women prisoners.
The Acting Justice Minister has agreed to examine other locations for a step-down facility for women prisoners after residents on Patrick's Hill hit out at plans to establish one in their area...
The news comes after Cork North Central TDs Jonathan O’Brien, Dara Murphy and Billy Kelleher met with the Minister this week to discuss the planned use for Westview House.
