Record number of participants are preparing to take part in the Irish Examiner's Cork City Marathon this morning.

Over 10,000 runners will take their starters orders today, with thousands of supporters and spectators expected to line the streets of Cork to cheer them on
Cork's RedFM are media partners for this years marathon, which is being held on a Sunday for the first time in 11 years.
Extra Gardai will be patrolling the streets, as well as 600 volunteer stewards, and motorists are being advised that some roads have been closed and traffic diversions are in place.
Speaking to RedFM News Garda Inspector Finbarr O'Sullivan from Anglesea Street is asking the public to plan ahead and leave extra time for any journeys.
