Red Head Convention gets underway in Crosshaven

Crosshaven is gearing up to be invaded by red heads from all over the world as the 6th Annual Redhead Convention kicks off this weekend......
Quirky activities such as freckle counting, carrot tossing, and ginger speed dating will be taking place while true redheads will get a certificate of genuine foxiness.
The 2015 Redhead Kind and Queen will also be crowned.
Ireland has the second highest per capita population of redheads next to Scotland and the event is also an important fundraiser for the Irish Cancer Society.
Speaking to RedFM News Event Organiser Joleen Cronin says the Redhead Convention started out simple and has become a great success:
