Refugees Risk Falling Into Homelessness In Ireland Once Reunited With Their Families

That's according to the Cork based migrant and refugee rights charity, NASC

Speaking to RedFM News, Fiona Hurley, NASC's Policy and Communications Manager, said that migrant families may be forced to live in overcrowded accommodation because of the cost of rent, but could then be evicted because their accommodation is overcrowded:

"We all know refugees, or anyone who's been separated from their family, looks forward to the day of arrival. Once the family arrives, there are huge challenges for families: things like securing stable accommodation are really precarious for families and they can very much risk falling into homelessness as they live in overcrowded accommodation. They may get eviction notices because they are now in overcrowded accommodation."
