Renewed Calls To Try And Prevent Potential Job Losses At One Of Ballincollig's Biggest Employers

It was confirmed last month that VMware are closing their Inside Sales processes department based in the town as it's relocating to Barcelona.
While the tech company hasn't confirmed how many positions could be affected, it did issue a statement confirming that their priority was to reduce the number of impacted employees by identifying any available redeployment opportunities and also by exploring relocation options.
Local Cllr Daithí O' Donnabháin has called on the IDA involved and the Minister for Jobs to intervene and speaking to RedFM News he says he believe more needs to be done:
