Rent Pressure Zones In Cork Simply Are Not Working
That's according to the organisers of a march in the city this weekend
Yesterday the government confirmed that rent pressure zones will be extended until the end of 2021.
Under the rules rent can only be increased by 4% a year in rent pressure zones, which in Cork include areas such as Douglas, Ballincollig, Carrigaline, and Passage West
However speaking to RedFM News, president of the Cork Council of Trade Unions Barry Murphy, says rent pressure zones aren't doing anything to tackle the real issue:
