Repair Crews Racing Against Time To Restore Power Before Storm Brian

Repair crews are racing against the clock to restore power and water supplies before another storm hits this weekend.

Thousands were knocked off the grid by hurricane force winds on Monday which left three people dead.

The ESB say they're working day and night to meet the restoration dates they have given customers across Cork. 
65,000 remain without power across the county this morning, 11,000 of those are in the city. 

Some of the worst affected areas and those which have been listed as priorities are those without water supply. 

Crews from abroad have been drafted in to help with power restoration efforts Leeside and it's hoped the additional manpower will help speed up restoration.

Speaking to RedFM News Divisional Manager of ESB Networks Denis Cambridge say further damage from falling debris is hampering their efforts but they're hopeful the situation will improve in the coming days:
