Report from Drinkaware show change in drinking habits across Munster

One in three people across Munster think excessive drinking is "No big deal".
Figures released by DrinkAware show drinking habits across Cork city and county have changed dramatically in recent decades.
The findings show that pre drinking before going to the pub has become the norm, and this has been linked to excessive drinking and negative alcohol related consequences.
Although one third of those surveyed have taken positive steps to reduce their alchol intake, a large number of people still feel Irish culture normalises excessive alcohol consumption.
Speaking to RedFM News Drinkaware Chief Medical Officer Dr Liam Twomey says there is a contradiction in people's attitude towards alchol in the region:
