Representatives From Dáil To Meet Ibrahim Halawa In Egyptian Jail

A cross party delegation from the Dáil will meet with Ibrahim Halawa today in an Egyptian jail.

The Dubliner has now been held for three years three months and 14 days without trial in the country.

Concern has repeatedly been raised about his health - and he's currently understood to be on hunger strike.

Green Party Leader Eamon Ryan is among the delegation - he says while he believes the trip is positive - he doesn't want to get anyone's hopes up:
