Rescue workers recover a body from the river at the Marina

The discovery was made as part of a separate search after a car plunged into the river shortly after 6am
A body has been recovered from the Lee near the Marina in Blackrock
The discovery was made as part of a separate search which was launched early this morning after a car plunged into the river shortly after 6 o'clock.
Divers from Mallow Search and Rescue and the Navy have been scouring the river all morning after the car was found to be empty once it had been recovered.
In the course of their search they discovered a second car which is now being pulled from the water.
Meanwhile searches for two missing men are ongoing Leeside
48-year-old Douglas Twomey was last seen at his home in Passage West on May 3rd while 53-year-old Alan Donohue is missing from the city since Tuesday.
Speaking to RedFM News John Woulfe, Chairman of Mallow Search and Rescue, says Cork City Missing Persons were due to check the location where the second car was found today:
