Research By UCC Professor Results In New Treatment For Peanut Allergy

Research work by a University College Cork professor has resulted in a new treatment that can successfully reduce sensitivity to peanuts
It comes after the world's largest peanut allergy treatment trial, involving more than 30 Irish children.
Researchers believe these findings will provide a real lifeline to those affected by the most common food allergy, and the single cause of most food allergy deaths.
Professor of Paediatrics and Child Health at UCC Jonathan Hourihane explains the findings:
