Residents In Ballyphehane Hit Back At Planned Summer Concerts

Locals say Leaving Cert students could be among the worst affected due to the planned gigs
Residents in Ballyphehane say Leaving Cert students could be among the worst affected by a series of planned summer concerts in their area.
Locals met with concert promoters MCD Productions and Munster Rugby last night to voice their concerns about 6 nights of concerts at Irish Independent Park in June.
It was confirmed today that US singer Lauryn Hill will play at the stadium on June 26th...
Liam Gallagher has also been announced for the 23rd.
Residents fear the highly populated area will be hit by anti-social behaviour as well as traffic gridlock and noise during the concerts.
MCD say they will do everything they can to minimise disruption to residents including closing roads in the vicinity of the stadium...
However speaking to RedFM News, local resident Elaine Davis says some people feel MCD and Munster Rugby have not considered the full impact on some residents
