Residents living around UCC say a number of landlords have refused to engage with them on student house parties
Some tenants have been evicted from houses in the area, however locals say many more have been allowed to continue to host parties for the past six weeks.
Gardaí, the HSE and City Hall have asked those living in the area to respect local residents, who say they are now considering taking legal action against landlords.
Residents from Connaught Avenue, Magazine Road, College Road and Glasheen Road have staged a number of protests against the parties, with some long term residents saying they plan to leave the area because their quality of life has been impacted so heavily by the parties.
Speaking to RedFM News, Catherine Clancy from the Magazine Road and Surrounding Area Residents Association says some progress has been made, despite the lack of co-operation from some landlords:
