Residents Threaten Picket Of Cobh Deepwater Quay Every Time A Cruise Liner Docks

Locals say they want their right of way recognised

Locals are unhappy that public access to the quay, known as the 5 Foot Way, is being blocked by the Port of Cork when ships are docked.

Residents say it was closed without consultation in November.

Residents are also in dispute with the Port over right of ways at Kennedy Quay and Marino Point and removed barriers and private property notices at Marino Point this weekend.

Speaking to RedFM News local Councillor Diarmaid Ó Cadhla says the County solicitor has been tasked with clarifying ownership of the quay:
