Restaurants Association says postponing return of indoor dining will have a catastrophic impact on many businesses

It's reported the government is considering a two-week delay to the planned easing of hospitality restrictions on July 5th
Ministers are concerned about the Delta variant - and hope the delay would allow more people to be fully vaccinated.
Restaurants Association CEO Adrian Cummins says any change to the reopening plans would be a big blow:
"We cannot afford to delay because the summer will be lost for the vast majority of businesses and restaurants across the country that are dependent on the staycation season, the tourist season specifically in regional and rural Ireland, we are now the only country in Europe with no indoor dining option, with the exception of hotels, we need an explanation from the government. What is the rationale around keeping our industry close to the rest of your resort."
