Retired Cobh couple among three Irish dead after UK housefire

A retired couple for Cobh were among three Irish people who died in a house fire in the UK.
21 firefighers fought the blaze at a terrace house in Hornchurch near the London borough of Romford for two hours in the early hours of Monday morning.
Ann Whelan along with her husband Joe had been visiting Joe's sick brother when the fire broke out in the house.
Ann was pronounced dead at the scene while Joe and his brother Jim died hours apart in a London hospital
It's understood all three were in their late 60s or early 70's.
