REVEALED: Ireland's Top Supermarkets For The First Three Months Of The Year

You might be surprised by these results!
Research from Kantar Worldpanel has shown the most popular supermarkets in Ireland for the first three months of 2016.
Topping the poll was Supervalu with a 24.9% share of the market. Following closely behind by 1% is Tesco on 23.9% and Dunnes Stores taking 23.5% of the survey in third place.
German supermarket brands Aldi and Lidl are 0.1% apart in popularity with Lidl edging slightly ahead of it's rival at 8.5% compared to 8.4% for Aldi.
On an overall scale of things, supermarket sales saw an increase in sales as a result of Easter. Confectionery sales alone grew by 32% thanks to sales of Easter eggs over the past month or so.
