A group which has been campaigning against a proposed incinerator in Ringaskiddy say they were railroaded through the application process, and haven't been given a reason as to why the Bord Pleanala decision on the facility has been delayed.
A verdict was due on the controversial facility on the 12th of July, but that has now been pushed back to October 26th.
The €160 million project was first proposed by waste management company Indaver 15 years ago, and this is the third time the company have put forward a proposal to operate an incinerator in Cork Harbour.
No reason has been given for the delay, and the news has had a mixed reaction from residents in the area.
