Ringaskiddy Residents Association To Use Visit Of Prince Charles To Highlight Opposition To Incinerator

Ringaskiddy Residents Association say Prince Charles is welcome in their village
A silent and peaceful protest is to be staged against the €160 million incinerator this afternoon, as the Prince passes through the village en route to the Irish naval Service headquarters at Haulbowline.
The residents association are to capitalise on the fact that the world's media will be covering the Prince's visit and their demonstration will allow them bring their campaign onto a world stage.
Campaigners are currently trying to raise funds to take An Bord Pleánala's decision to grant permission for an incinerator in the harbour to the High Court for a judicial review.
Prince Charles, has been outspoken on environmental issues in the past and speaking to RedFM News Gertie O'Driscoll of Ringaskiddy Residents Association says it's important that the public realise that there is clear opposition locally to this incinerator:
