Rise in Suicide Rates
Ireland has one of the highest rates of suicide among young men in Europe. A new study by the Men's Health Forum in Ireland says the recent spike in suicide rates is linked to rising unemployment and alcohol abuse. The report recommends a community-wide approach to prevention involving teachers, parents, sports coaches and local GPs.
