Rising Accommodation Costs Having Negative Impact On Mental Health Of Students

Rising accommodation costs and other financial worries are having a negative impact on the mental health of students in Cork.
That's according to Naoise Crowley of the Student Union at University College Cork who was reacting to a new survey released by the Irish League of Credit Unions revealing that more than two thirds of students are struggling financially at college.
55% of those surveyed say they are regularly skipping college lectures to go to work.
Students at UCC are facing the highest increase in the price of college accommodation in Ireland, with rent hikes of up to 11.5% Leeside.
Speaking to RedFM News, UCC Student Union Welfare Officer Naoise Crowley says balancing work and college life takes its toll both mentally and physically:
