Risk of flooding Leeside

The warning has been issued by Met Éireann.

Met Éireann has issued a flood warning for southern and western coastal areas.

The alert applies to Cork, Kerry, Clare, Galway, Wexford, Waterford, and Mayo.

It comes into force at 3am tomorrow.

Some towns in Cork have been the worst hit by flooding in recent weeks such as Bandon and Skibbereen with the fear of further flooding and concerns over defence measures being expressed.

Met Eireann forecaster Deirdre Lowe says a number of factors are creating the flood risk.
