RNLI Assist Boat With Engine Trouble Near Baltimore Harbour

Baltimore RNLI assisted a pleasure boat with engine trouble near Baltimore Harbour yesterday.

The inshore lifeboat was launched at 3:34pm at the request of the Irish Coast Guard to assist the 31 foot boat with two people onboard 1 mile south of the entrance to the harbour.

The lifeboat reached the vessel ten minutes later and secured a towline to the vessel before confirming that the two people onboard were okay.

It was the second call out for Baltmiore RNLI yesterday after the all-weather lifeboat was requested to provide a medevac from Cape Clear Island earlier in the day.
