RNLI recuse man following fall from cliffs in County Cork

The Irish Coast Guard is renewing it's safety message after an angler was airlifted to safety after falling from cliffs at Knockadoon Head yesterday.

Irish Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue 117  was called to the scene, with support from Coast Guard units at Ballycotton and Youghal, and the man was transferred to Cork University Hospital.

Gerard O'Flynn is the Search and Rescue co-ordination manager with the Irish Coast Guard.

He says the public should never hesitate to call for help.
